History & Mission

The members of Pinnacle Family Medicine Obstetrics have been collaborating since 2010 to provide family centered pregnancy care in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Its members are all family physicians.

Pinnacle believes in a team-based approach to office and hospital care. Through strong communication, we are able to provide around-the-clock care to our patients. Our rotating on-call schedule covers evenings and weekends. We also share our passion for pregnancy care with medical students and residents as we strive to train the next generation of family medicine obstetrical providers.

We are open to referrals for any patients intending to deliver at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario. We are happy to accept unattached patients from the community. We are generally not able to absorb such patients into our respective practices, but will make efforts to link patients to family physicians in Waterloo region.

Generally we expect patients to have valid OHIP coverage.

Obstetrical services for Kitchener and Waterloo are exclusively based at Grand River Hospital.

In the event of complications, pediatricians and obstetricians are both available in-house. Grand River Hospital has a level 2+ neonatal ICU.
